Introduction

As part of the Family Development ProgrammeSamridhy, Muvattupuzha Diocesan Social Service Society has implemented number of activities for the Partner Families in its target villages. Samridhy has a total of 210Partner Families with ‘Active’ status in its three regions. SamridhyMuvattupuzha diocesan Social Service Society is one of the partner organization of SAFP, submit the monthly report of July2017. Here we present some of the important programmes conducted in the moth Julyby the SAFP-FDPMuvattupuzha and the remarkable andsuccessful initiatives andactivities performed in the particular month.

Family Facilitation Team (FFT)

The Meeting was conducted on 30thJuly-2017 at central office. The meeting was chaired by DSSS Director Fr.JoseKuttikkeril, and all the FFT members were participated. The main discussion conducted on the topicslike cancelled families account closing,Organic farming promotion etc. During the meeting there is detailed discussion on every activity conducted in the field. The evaluation is result oriented more than the activity oriented. In each meeting there will be follow up of the decisions taken in the previous meetings.

Family Action Team (FAT)

In the month of July 2FAT meetingsare conducted in Muvattupuzha region

CentreLevel Meetings

Along with the aim of financial sustainability of the family, the programme aims at upliftment of social and cultural improvement of the family.During the month of JulyMuvattupuzha DSSS conduct 4centre level meetings of FDP families .Almost all the FDP members are participated the centre level meeting conducted in beloved month. Animator conducted classes on the topic of “disciple of school going children”

Regular House Visits of Partner Families

Samridhy conducted regular house visits of FDP Partner Families during every three months as per Monthly Planning. Once in ayear Coordinator visits the families.FDP Animators are regularly visiting the partner Families home for giving guidance and informations. They focus on the 15 items in the Baseline Data of each family and counsel them for better improvement. During the house visits this month yearly planning of the families were done.

Fund Withdrawal by Partner Families:)

As per the project activities of the Partner Families, the Partner NGO needs to distribute Supporting Fund to partner Families in accordance with their One Year Plan (Form C – Budget & Form D- Timeline), which was planned for respective Financial Year.

Successful IGP

Mrs.BindhuShibu, MV 2918, Palakkad Region

Mrs.BindhuShibu is living with her husband and threechildren. She is a SHG member of SamridhyMuvattupuzha Diocesan Social Service Society .It was in this state of despair that Samridhy included him in SAFP –Family Development Programme.BindhuShibu is participated in the EDP training provided for the selected beneficiaries of the IGP Programme. That further improved her motivation and confidence. Together with the financial support from SAFP she availed a soft loan from her SHG and started tailoring unit. Now they have safe drinking water facility, proper sanitation,small Kitchen garden, secure house, Electricity connection and small savings in bank. Today BindhuShibu and family are happy at her home, earning some additional income and with ample confidence.

Mrs.SusyEapen, MV 2736, Palakkad Region

Mrs.SusyEapen is living with her husband and two children. She is a SHG member of SamridhyMuvattupuzha Diocesan Social Service Society .It was in this state of despair that Samridhy included him in SAFP –Family Development Programme.
