SHGs of Tribal

The major tribal groups in the operational area include Muthuvan, Mannan, and Malayan. Separate SHGs are functioning exclusively for the Tribalsto acknowledge their unique socio-cultural context and extreme marginalization. Most of these tribal groups are either directly depending on the forest, forest products and nature or working as unskilled labours in agriculture & non-agriculture sectors. The depletion of forest, wild animals and other forest products are challenging their destiny in their respective habitat areas, where they are ethnically & socially settled.
